Title and Summary

Managing Consultant, Services Business Development Mastercard Services, the professional services arm of Mastercard Worldwide, provides payments-focused consulting, marketing, platforms, information, loyalty, security, and risk management services to financial institutions and merchants worldwide.

The Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast globally, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse customer base.

By harnessing real-time, anonymized, and aggregated transaction data, powerful software platforms, security solutions, and industry expertise, we empower customers to gain a holistic view of consumer behavior, extract actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions. Our offerings serve financial institutions, retailers, telecommunications organizations, travel companies, and more, driving efficiency and value while solving business problems end to end.

All About The Role:

Role

  • Perform comprehensive analysis to understand client needs and identify potential solutions, focusing on critical aspects of problems.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencers, sponsors, and decision-makers to align support with business objectives.
  • Manage the sales cycle from needs identification through contractual development and execution, including writing persuasive proposals.
  • Develop sales support materials (presentations, business cases, etc.) that articulate Mastercard Services' value both qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • Ensure engagement quality, lead post-implementation reviews, and identify follow-on opportunities.
  • Contribute to project delivery using core consultancy skills and industry knowledge, performing project management or subject matter expertise as appropriate.
  • Create intellectual capital (white papers on industry topics) to enhance the value proposition of Mastercard Data and Services.

All About You

  • You should be highly motivated, with experience in services or consulting roles and some knowledge of the payments industry in Australia.
  • You should have skills and experience to contribute to the delivery and quality management of consulting engagements.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Additional personal attributes include:
    • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication and influencing skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
