The Role

If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a supportive team environment where your contribution is valued, this is the job for you We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our close-knit team at our clients manufacturing site.

Ideally, you will bring previous maintenance experience and a proactive mindset. Your expertise will contribute to the development of preventative maintenance strategies, ensuring the seamless operation of our clients concrete product manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment
  2. Conduct preventive maintenance routines
  3. Identify the root cause of equipment failures and implement solutions
  4. Provide timely and effective resolution of plant failures
  5. Participate in capital and improvement projects
  6. Identify and implement improvement opportunities
  7. Follow all Work Health & Safety (WHS) directives

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  1. Strong working knowledge and application of preventative maintenance strategies
  2. Experience working in a structured maintenance team with accountability for KPI delivery
  3. A proactive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality results
  4. High-level knowledge and commitment to WHS and risk management
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Formal trade qualifications required
  7. Willingness to work shifts as required
  8. Intermediate computer skills
  9. Welding skills (MMAW & MIG essential, TIG optional)
  10. Significant experience as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably in manufacturing
  11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  12. Hydraulics and pneumatics training and experience
  13. Flexible work availability
  14. Current forklift license
  15. Reliable transport

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  1. Experience using a Computerised Maintenance System (MEX preferred)
  2. Working at Heights ticket
  3. Rigger or Dogman ticket
  4. Willingness to work overtime when required
