Turbine Fitter Opportunity

We are seeking a Turbine Mechanical Fitter to join our Services team in Maitland, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair steam and gas turbines, including tasks such as de-blading, re-blading, and rotor balancing, to maximize efficiency and operational longevity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures, using protective gear, and adhering to company values.
  • Disassemble, repair, and balance mechanical equipment, including turbine shafts, journals, and housings, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct measurements and inspections using precision tools, filling out check sheets accurately.
  • Replace or repair mechanical components, including turbine gears, seals, impellers, fans, and bearings, ensuring seamless operation and reduced downtime.
  • Operate and maintain balance of plant items, supporting overall equipment efficiency and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Trade Certificate III in Fitting & Turning or similar qualification.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting on turbines and/or rotating machinery.
  • Strong ability to manage workloads effectively while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Valid Driver's and Forklift Licence.
