ICT Project Manager | Long-term Contract with extension | Brisbane CBD

Are you an experienced Project Manager ready to lead transformative ICT projects that directly impact critical services? We're seeking a driven professional to deliver high-impact initiatives within a complex and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As the Project Manager, you'll oversee technology programs such as Essential 8 compliance uplift and Identity & Access Management enhancements. You'll guide projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring strong governance, clear communication, and successful outcomes for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ICT projects from scope definition through to completion, meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality targets.
  • Develop clear project briefs, proposals, and progress reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage technical resources to achieve objectives.
  • Track project progress, manage risks, and maintain strong governance processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to technical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procurement requirements.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Prince2, MSP certification or 5+ years' project/program management experience.
  • Experience delivering technology projects in areas such as Identity Management, Data Loss Prevention, Essential 8 compliance, and Business Recovery.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools, including MS Project.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional reports and documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience preparing briefing notes, procurement documentation, and professional presentations.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience within Qld government

  • Strategic and critical thinking skills with the ability to integrate information from diverse sources.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Superior interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills in managing and directing technical teams to project success.
