This Job Description provides an overview of the position for interested candidates and future role holders.

Brief Summary of the Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Project Management, this role is responsible for delivering projects for Skidata Australasia. It involves developing and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget, while adhering to SKIDATA Project Management and Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.

The role collaborates closely with the Sales and Service Teams to prepare accurate tenders and expressions of interest, ensuring project scopes are reasonable and include all necessary cost estimates (Labor and Materials).

  • Comply with SKIDATA Australasia Project Management methodology and OH&S processes in managed jobs.
  • Lead and manage daily project implementation throughout the entire Project Cycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control, and Closure).
  • Support the sales team in defining scope and specifying project requirements and use cases.
  • Work with the Senior Manager to implement and communicate effective project management practices.
  • Provide feedback for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce risks.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to meet implementation dates aligned with project plans and customer needs.
  • Identify resource requirements, plan, and optimize project team allocations.
  • Assign responsibilities to team members and subcontractors.
  • Maintain an overview of the project pipeline contributing to the portfolio.
  • Create and adapt project work plans as needed.
  • Develop and strengthen customer relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Escalate risks and issues promptly for resolution.
  • Monitor and execute project budgets, costs, and GPII, ensuring accurate invoicing and receivables management.
  • Support profitable growth through strategic project management.
  • Facilitate risk assessments in line with Australian Standards and contractual requirements.
  • Hold regular project status meetings and provide weekly updates to management.
  • Ensure complete and well-maintained project documentation.
  • Coordinate pre-installation activities with the Pre-Installation team.
  • Complete personal effort registration timely and accurately.
  • Assist sales in preparing tenders and expressions of interest, ensuring scope, technical support, and cost estimates are comprehensive.
  • Achieve established Business KPIs.
  • Complete required skill development training.
  • Coordinate project completion and handover to the Field Service team.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: IT or technical qualification, with Project Management and Leadership training.

Experience: Minimum 3 years working with technology products/services and at least 2 years managing technical teams or projects.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong soft skills and communication abilities.
  • Understanding of project economics and software services.
  • Excellent communication at all organizational levels.
  • Influencing skills and team leadership qualities.
  • Strong planning and evaluation skills.
  • Willingness to learn and improve project management skills.
  • Knowledge of contracts and OH&S regulations.
