Counter Sales Team Member

This position will start out at an hourly rate of $18/hr. Once fully trained in the position, base pay will be $16.50/hr. and you will begin making commission on sales as well.

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for waiting on customers, answering telephone inquiries and for the general housekeeping and displays in the store.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides the highest level possible of service to all customers with the main objective of serving our retail customers.
- Answers telephone inquiries pleasantly and promptly.
- Provides customers with information on additional items related to purchases made.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of the products sold, product usage, product prices and new products on the market.
- Handles minor complaints with the objective of solving the problem.
- Listens to a customer's complaint to find out what it will take to satisfy the customer.
- Complies with Company procedures on sales transactions, paperwork, refunds, credit memos, etc.
- Maintains stock, displays and housekeeping for assigned areas.
- Complies with dress specified by Company policy.
- Assists supervisor and other employees as needed.
- Promotes team concept.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Ability to do math, read orders, follow instructions and complete forms.
- Ability to communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Good telephone etiquette.
