Overview

Join to apply for the Registrar role at Ramsay Health Care. This is a fixed-term full-time 12-month position commencing February 2026 in the Intensive Care Unit at North Shore Private Hospital, a 19-bedded unit admitting in excess of 2500 patients annually and accredited for C6 training with the College of Intensive Care Medicine. The unit has a predominantly post-operative case mix with a wide variety of patients including complex cardio-thoracic, upper GI and neurosurgical cases. The department employs a total of 8 trainees who work alternating weeks on and off with a mix of day and night shifts. This opportunity is for a candidate with critical care experience, with potential for longer-term employment. The Unit has a strong emphasis on teaching, with trainees attending education sessions across the North Shore Campus. Trainees are encouraged to participate in quality projects within the Unit and attend the education opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU clinical support as a Registrar in a busy unit.
• Engage with teaching and education sessions and participate in quality projects as part of the Unit's teaching program.
• Work across day and night shifts on a 7-day roster (12-hour shifts) as required by the Unit.

Skills And Experience

• Applicants must be at least 4 years postgraduate with experience in critical care (ICU, Anaesthetics or ED).
• Hold unconditional AHPRA Registration (essential)
• Be available for flexible shift work over a 7-day roster (12-hour shifts)
• ALS / CALS certification (desirable)
• Must hold additional private indemnity insurance (Ramsay will provide employee indemnity on top)

• Must provide aNational Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
