Registrar

This is a fixed-term full-time 12-month position commencing February 2026 in the Intensive Care Unit at North Shore Private Hospital, a 19-bedded unit admitting in excess of 2500 patients annually and accredited for C6 training with the College of Intensive Care Medicine. The unit has a predominantly post-operative case mix with a wide variety of patients including complex cardio-thoracic, upper GI and neurosurgical cases. The department employs a total of 8 trainees who work alternating weeks on and off with a mix of day and night shifts. This opportunity is for a candidate with critical care experience, with potential for longer-term employment. The Unit has a strong emphasis on teaching, with trainees attending education sessions across the North Shore Campus. Trainees are encouraged to participate in quality projects within the Unit and attend the education opportunities.

• Provide ICU clinical support as a Registrar in a busy unit.
• Engage with teaching and education sessions and participate in quality projects as part of the Unit's teaching program.
• Work across day and night shifts on a 7-day roster (12-hour shifts) as required by the Unit.

• Applicants must be at least 4 years postgraduate with experience in critical care (ICU, Anaesthetics or ED).
• Hold unconditional AHPRA Registration (essential)
• Be available for flexible shift work over a 7-day roster (12-hour shifts)
• ALS / CALS certification (desirable)
• Must hold additional private indemnity insurance (Ramsay will provide employee indemnity on top)
