Overview

Aviation Inventory Coordinator role at Coulson Aviation Australia. This position supports Richmond and Bankstown, NSW operations as required.

Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of Coulson Aviation, a global aerial firefighting company that supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with aircraft and experienced team members. Coulson Aviation operates across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, including Boeing 737 FIRELINERS, Hercules C130, Citation and King Air fire support platforms, CH47D Chinooks, UH60 Blackhawks and Bell 412 helicopters, to provide rapid response capabilities using aviation assets.

Coulson Aviation Australia operates and manages New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management, and operating personnel. Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities.

What We're Looking For

We are currently recruiting an Aviation Inventory Coordinator to be a part of the team. This position will support Richmond and Bankstown, NSW operations as required.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe and accurate controlling of stores area for all inventory items, including inspection and receipt of inventory items into stores, and the proper tracking of inventory to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and control equipment for the support of all aircraft under certified air control or ownership. Ensure equipment is operational and manage periodic calibration and testing of equipment as required.
  • Order and replenish inventory levels as required.
  • Satisfy position requirements of the Aviation Inventory Coordinator, as described in CA CASR Part 145 AMO Maintenance Organisation Exposition and Engineering Procedures Manual.
  • Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met as related to the Stores department.
  • Monitor non-aircraft related inventory levels, such as office supplies, paper products, consumables, etc. Replenish stock as required.
  • Manage periodic calibration and testing of equipment as required.
  • Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies that align with aircraft maintenance schedules and operational goals, ensuring readiness and efficiency across all maintenance programs.
  • Forecast parts demand and plan inventory levels based on aircraft maintenance schedules, fleet utilization, and lead times, to ensure zero downtime due to material shortages.
  • Coordinate with engineering, planning, and maintenance teams to align procurement and logistics activities with upcoming maintenance events, modifications, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with CASA and other regulatory requirements related to storage, traceability, shelf-life monitoring, and certification of aircraft parts and materials.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness for all supply chain and distribution processes, supporting internal quality assurance and external regulatory audits.
  • Other related duties as required.
Salary

$100,000.00 per annum

Requirements
  • Previous experience in aviation industry
  • Experience in warehousing and inventory management, including but not limited to receiving, dispatch, freight handling, purchasing and issuing of stock
  • Experience with an inventory software program
  • Currently hold or ability to obtain Red ASIC card and/or RAAF passes
