Overview

Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to play a key role in the Renal Care Clinical trial unit — consenting, onboarding, and guiding patients through their journey with regular trial follow-ups and vital care

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (Up to 12 months)

Position Classification: Registered Nurse

Remuneration: $36.38 - $51.08 per hour

Hours Per Week: 24 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

You will work in a collaborative, diverse team in one of Australia's top public hospitals supporting the clinical trials framework.

What you'll be doing

Join the Renal Clinical Trial Unit to coordinate and support diverse clinical trials improving patient care across multiple hospitals.

As a Registered Nurse in this role you will be:

  • Facilitating trial activities under Trial Manager's direction.

  • Recruiting patients as per trial agreements.

  • Performing protocol-related tasks and data collection.

  • Managing adverse event reporting and documentation.

  • Supporting trials spanning pre-dialysis and dialysis patients.

Essential Criteria
  • Qualification: Nursing and Midwifery degree

  • Registration: Current nursing registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria
  • Previous experience working with Clinical trials.

  • Experience in the use of electronic data capture programs (EDC) used in clinical trials.

  • Demonstrated superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to deal with sensitive issues.

  • Demonstrated effective time management, delegation and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Ability to or willingness to learn venepuncture.

  • Current Driver's Licence valid within Australia.
