Pro-Rata Salary Range of $83,500k Base to $93,900k Base (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities)
Plus 12% Superannuation and access to Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging with a value of up to $15,900. (more information provided below).
The OpportunityWe are seeking a Clinical Trial Coordinator within our Project Operations, Australia (PO) team who will be working closely with our research team to ensure study aims are achieved.
The team is primarily responsible for the set-up, conduct and overall delivery of a projects across all research programs in The Institute, according to best practice guidelines and research budgets.
This role is part of the OPTIMISE-BP hypertension trial within the Cardiovascular Program and primarily involves screening, recruiting, and following up with trial participants through telephone or video. Our successful candidate will have responsibilities including collecting and entering data into the trial database and developing site-level documentation.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Screening, enrolment and follow-up of trial participants
- Coordinating study supplies and visits for the participants
- Ensuring adherence to the clinical trial protocol and complies with all ethical requirement and in accordance with Good Clinical Practice in research (ICH GCP)
- Ensuring timely and accurate data collection and completion of case report forms
- Assisting in liaising with monitors of clinical trials and being available for monitoring and/or auditing when required, with full patient documentation available
- Development and maintenance of site level documents and trackers
- Participating in relevant meetings

Skills, Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful CandidateEssential
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing or pharmacy
- Experience in clinical trial conduct at a site level or similar
- Experience in participant or consumer facing roles
- Demonstrated effective communication, time management, administrative and organisational skills
- Demonstrated understanding of data collection or willingness to learn
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, with ability to problem solve and take initiative
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, PowerPoint Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work well autonomously, with demonstrated ability to collaborate in small teams or with a wide range of varying stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments
- Strong focus on producing the highest quality of work and on ensuring optimum accuracy of outputs
Desirable
- Experience in hypertension / cardiovascular trials
- Familiarity with hypertension medications.
