We work with our members to identify threats and opportunities, drive collaborative solutions, and advocate for the long-term success of Australia's livestock industries and biosecurity system.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Member Engagement and Communication, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and actionable insights that will shape AHA's value proposition to enhance member and stakeholder engagement, communication, and satisfaction. This role will manage member communications, coordinate events, and foster a strong sense of community among members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage member communications, including newsletters, emails, social media, collateral, and website content.
- Create engaging and informative content that resonates with members and promotes organisational goals.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to enhance awareness and communication of AHA objectives.
- Develop and execute AHA member engagement strategies to demonstrate value and increase member participation and satisfaction.
- Plan and coordinate member events, webinars, and workshops.
- Create and execute communication project plans, ensuring appropriate milestones and deliverables.
- Monitor and report on member engagement metrics and communication effectiveness.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline.
- Extensive project management skills and experience, including financial and budget management.
- Proven success in developing and delivering effective communications across various mediums.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with members and key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build rapport, influence and negotiate with members (or equivalent stakeholder representatives).
- Previous experience in event management and member engagement including, both digital/remote and physical events.
- Media liaison and experience in crisis and/or issues management.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams and contemporary office software applications including Mailchimp and database administration
