Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Architect: Develop, roll out and refine comprehensive learning pathways for all staff - from new graduates and postgraduate students to undergraduate nursing placements and new employees.
  • Educational Champion: Offer leadership, mentorship and support to the team of Clinical Nurse Educators, fostering professional growth.
  • Academic Collaborator: Partner with tertiary institutions and specialty Nurse Educators to co-create, launch and assess postgraduate nursing courses.
  • Strategic Planner: Lead planning and deployment of targeted educational strategies for the Ward/Unit/Service nursing workforce, aligned with district standards.
  • Ongoing Support & Development: Receive backing from the John Hunter Hospital Executive Team with tailored professional development and a structured job-share handover.
Requirements
  • Hold or be eligible for current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Post-registration nursing/midwifery clinical or education qualifications relevant to the clinical area or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in a management role.
