Overview

Business Account Manager (6-Month Contract) – Queensland

Australia Post is delivering like never before. This fixed-term role has strong growth potential in the Queensland eCommerce market with significant investment in the South East Queensland region. The role involves managing a portfolio of 100-150 small business customers based in Queensland, ranging from up-and-coming eCommerce businesses to B2B manufacturers and other freight service users. The position offers an opportunity to exceed sales targets, participate in a market-leading incentive scheme, and work in a positive, team-oriented environment with clear progression pathways.

You will be responsible for establishing and managing the commercial aspects of relationships with your portfolio, taking ownership of your customers, and treating your portfolio as your own growth business.

Responsibilities
  • Drive commercial decisions during contract renewal and negotiation processes.
  • Retain customers and help them navigate Australia Post's business and customer service infrastructure to delight them.
  • Engage with customers to understand upcoming business requirements and maintain ongoing communication.
  • Expand existing contracts, increase share of wallet, and identify opportunities to deliver new products and services.
  • Make outbound sales calls to new businesses and lapsed customers to bring them into your accounts and achieve revenue targets.
Qualifications
  • Some proactive sales experience with a track record of developing business or making sales.
  • A high level of motivation, the ability to work autonomously, and time management focused on revenue growth.
  • Ability to spot opportunities, hunt for new business, and be a key team player with a desire to grow within the team and actively participate in in-office sales activities.

You will be driven to grow and develop, looking for opportunities to continuously improve and exceed sales targets, and take charge of your own development.

Sales is a core driver of Australia Post's business; as the face to the customer you will be a pivotal contributor to revenue growth and your own career trajectory.
