Overview

Guildford Grammar School is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Technical Support Officer to join our innovative and award-winning IT team as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a nationally recognised department that is shaping the future of technology in education.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for Tech Support Officers, taking ownership of high-impact or unresolved incidents.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system, device, and network-related issues that exceed level 1 and 2 capacity.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining the integrity and performance of core network and server infrastructure.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of wireless networks and systems, ensuring seamless and secure operations across the school's premises.
  • Monitor and maintain Fortinet and unified communications environments, providing expert input into updates and configurations.
  • Oversee escalated issues relating to the school's Apple fleet and JAMF platform.
About You
  • A relevant qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical support roles involving mobile device management, network operations, and security.
  • Extensive working knowledge of JAMF, unified communications, and Fortinet firewall systems.
  • Ability to guide and support frontline technical staff, providing mentorship and expertise to enhance their problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills to resolve complex issues.
  • A calm and friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills, especially when supporting non-technical users.
  • Hold current Working with Children Check.
  • Hold a satisfactory police clearance, dated within the last 6 months.
  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
  • Alignment with the values of the Anglican tradition and child safety policies.
