Public Sector People are working with a government organisation within Brisbane who are seeking an A04 Work, Health & Safety Support Officer on a unique 6-month contract + extension.

As the WHS Support officer, you will provide WHS administration support, advice and coordination to support the delivery of workforce services, programs and initiatives within the business, and customer focused outcomes.

Applications will only be considered with background experience or certificate in IV health and safety

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provide administration support for the HSW team members as required with the various tasks and functions that they perform.
  • Assist with incident investigations for worker incidents and hazards reported through the incident management system (TABS).
  • Provide user support and troubleshooting for HSW-related systems
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with mandatory HSW training and certificates
  • Help onboard new users to HSW systems and tools.

About you:
  • A solid WHS experience in providing advice on workforce management policies and practices, coordinating recruitment, and analysis of workforce data
  • Experience in working in the Public Sector in a WHS advisor.
  • Great interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement and experience in preparing and reviewing workforce business cases.
