Summary of the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Therapist to join Tooth Wagon (operated by MediDent Groups). Our mission is to deliver accessible dental care directly to schools, daycares, and aged care communities through our fully equipped mobile dental clinics.

Success in this role means providing high-quality dental therapy services with compassion, educating patients about oral health, and working seamlessly with our motivated team. As part of our organization, you will play a key role in bringing dental care to communities that need it most.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver preventive and restorative dental therapy services, including check-ups, scale and cleans, fluoride applications, fissure sealants, and fillings.
  • Conduct oral examinations and diagnostic services, such as X-rays.
  • Provide clear and supportive oral health education to children, families, and aged care residents.
  • Work collaboratively with our dentist and dental assistant in a mobile clinic setting to ensure smooth patient care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold infection control and safety standards.
  • Represent Tooth Wagon with professionalism and contribute to a positive, motivated team culture.

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Dental Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Strong clinical skills in preventive and restorative dentistry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to educate and engage patients of all ages.
  • A positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude suited to a mobile practice environment.
  • Experience working with children or in community dental programs is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license.
