About Us

At HTA, we're a people-first accounting and advisory firm with a strong reputation for building lasting client relationships and a positive, supportive team culture. We're growing our presence on the Sunshine Coast and are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to step into a key leadership role in our team.

You'll work closely with a Director, manage a portfolio of SME clients, lead a team, and help deliver a mix of compliance, tax, and advisory services.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage a portfolio of small to medium businesses and high-net-worth clients
  • Review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, and management reports
  • Provide proactive tax planning, business structuring, and compliance advice
  • Oversee workflow management, capacity planning, and job budgets
  • Mentor and lead a team of Accountants, reviewing their work and supporting development
  • Identify opportunities for value-add services, business advisory and client growth
  • Work collaboratively with Partners and Directors to ensure exceptional client service
What You'll Bring
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • 5+ years' experience in public practice accounting
  • Confidence reviewing complex tax returns across structures
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent technical knowledge of tax, GST, super, and accounting standards
  • High attention to detail, sound judgement and client-first mindset
  • Strong Xero, Excel and Microsoft Office skills
