We're seeking an emerging academic with expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship to join our internationally recognised Newcastle Business School. This continuing position offers the opportunity to contribute to a School with a clear strategic direction, strong industry connections, and a globally engaged Faculty committed to supporting your academic growth.

The Role

In this role, you will be supported to deliver excellence in teaching, research, and engagement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching innovation and entrepreneurship across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Contributing to curriculum design with a focus on authentic learning experiences.
  • Publishing impactful research in leading journals (ABDCA*/A, Q1), with demonstrated potential to attract competitive funding.
  • Building industry partnerships that enhance research relevance and student outcomes.
  • Co-supervising PhD students and contributing to the School's research culture.

This permanent full-time role is based at NUspace (Awabakal land), with opportunities to teach across other campuses as required.

About You

With expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship, you are ready to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. You'll bring enthusiasm for teaching, a growing research profile, and a commitment to working with others to make a meaningful impact. To be successful, you'll have:

  • A PhD in innovation, entrepreneurship, or a related field
  • A developing track record of high-quality publications and national research recognition
  • Experience in curriculum development and student-centred teaching
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to academic service and engagement

We'd love to hear from candidates who can also demonstrate:

  • Involvement in grant applications in innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Engagement with industry stakeholders that informs research and teaching
