Overview

We're recruiting for an Assistant Facility Manager (or what we call Operations Manager internally) at Parkinson Aquatic Centre. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting and is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to the community. The position emphasizes leading day-to-day operations, building team culture, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations across a high-impact community aquatics venue.
  • Champion a welcoming, results-driven environment for both fitness and aquatics users.
  • Lead customer service initiatives and ensure high standards of safety, cleanliness, and facility maintenance.
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff; manage team performance and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and industry standards; maintain high facility standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive member experience and operational excellence.
  • Manage financial and administrative tasks relevant to venue operations.
Qualifications
  • Current Blue Card / Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Current CPR
  • Pool Lifeguard
  • Willingness to obtain any essential qualifications required for the role
  • Availability to work full-time hours, including mornings, evenings, and at least one day on weekends
