Overview

This position qualifies for a Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (pro-rata part-time/temporary positions less than 18 months), and a recurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (pro-rata part-time), under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme. The scheme recognises the role key health workers play in delivering rural and remote health services and aims to attract and retain staff in these areas.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide quality Paediatric (0-17yo) Speech Pathology assessment and treatment to patients in the Far West Local Health District (FWLHD), including outreach to towns.
  • Deliver services individually or in groups, face-to-face or virtually, in health services, community health centres, schools or consumers' homes.

How To Apply

To be considered, please address the selection criteria thoroughly:

  • Bachelor or postgraduate Speech Pathology degree eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Evidence-based practice and critical thinking in paediatric and broader service provision, with ability to conduct generic adult services when needed.
  • Ability to plan, advocate for and coordinate client care within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and sharing expertise with colleagues.
  • Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and families to improve outcomes.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with relevant software.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's licence for NSW/Australia.
