You will have the chance to gain broader clinical experience and provide quality care to patients across multiple facilities in Broken Hill and surrounding towns.
Job Description
As a Speech Pathologist with the Far West Local Health District, you will be responsible for providing high-quality public health services to communities in far west NSW. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing quality assessment and treatment to patients in hospital settings, including Broken Hill Hospital
You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to plan, advocate for and coordinate client care independently.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification
- Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Understanding and application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking for person/community-centred services
- Ability to interact professionally and resolve conflicts
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
You will also require a valid unrestricted driver's licence for NSW/Australia.
