SVHM is one of Australia's leading Catholic not-for-profit healthcare providers. **About Department** The Planned Surgery Team coordinates the care of those patients that are on the St Vincent's Hospital Elective Surgery and Endoscopy waiting lists in accordance with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Planned Surgery Access Policy. The team is responsible for the case management of all patients across all surgical specialties and providing timely access to Planned surgery and Endoscopy here at St Vincent's main site and St Vincent's Hospital on the Park. **About the Role** You will work closely with both the Operations Manager Planned Surgery and the Planned Surgery Teams to manage the daily operations and management of the Elective Surgery and Endoscopy waitlist teams.Classifications for this position will be **ZJ4** ($113,646.00 pro rata per annum) **Duties*** Demonstrate leadership skills to deliver and achieve the ultimate vision within the team to treat our patients safely, in time, every time.* Ensure 100% of category 1 elective surgery patients are admitted within 30 days* Facilitate our Tier 1 Daily Management System meeting, identifying problems and barriers to scheduling all patients* Clearly identify and mange problems that are either urgent, chronic or require escalation to senior management**Qualifications, Skills and Experience*** At least 5 years clinical, surgical nursing experience* Post Graduate Nursing Qualification* Demonstrated leadership experience* Awareness of the Planned Surgery Access Policy (2024)* Leadership qualities with proven ability to direct, negotiate, enthuse and encourage in a multidisciplinary setting.**Benefits*** A focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programs* Confidential, solutions-focused employee counselling* A healthy work/life balance encouraged.* Ability to join Fitness Passport - Your pass to an extensive choice of fitness facilities* Salary Packaging – Increase your take home pay* In the heart of Fitzroy, CBD at our doorstep, close to some of Melbourne's best cafes, public transport and lots of carparks* Discounts and Promotions always available through our Foundation* Culture of continuous improvement**Application**
