We're seeking an inventive and technically skilled Textile Engineer to join our Textile Centre of Excellence group within our dynamic product design and hardware engineering team. As a Textile Engineer, you'll take the lead in investigating textile materials and manufacturing processes to develop softgoods for medical product applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and user experience. With a keen understanding of material behaviour and a strong user-centered mindset, you will bring your textile expertise to design challenges - translating ideas into functional, manufacturable solutions.**In this role, you will:**Design and develop softgood concepts, applying your knowledge of materials (fibers, yarns, fabrics, foams) and knowledge of textile manufacturing & integration methods (welding, bonding, taping, overmoulding, thermoforming, wrapping, etc.)**Let's talk about Key Responsibilities****What you'll Bring (Qualifications and Experience)**Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, Materials Science, Fashion/Apparel Engineering, or related discipline. 3+ years of experience in product development roles within the fashion, activewear, medical, or technical textile sectors.Demonstrated ability to translate materials research into functional, manufacturable product components. Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build effective relationships both internally across teams and departments, and externally with partnersExperience with digital design tools e.g. Clo3D, Lectra, Creo.Experiences in dealing with elastic (stretchable) and breathable material and product with high intimacy such as inner wear, sport wear & shoe, medical purpose garments, etc.
