As a Business Strategy Senior Specialist, you contribute to Telstra's long-term strategy by leveraging teamwork to collaborate with stakeholders and build relationships with senior leaders across the business. You will apply analytical and communication skills to solve complex business problems and facilitate decision making around strategic priorities. You will help define the next wave of growth and have the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business, including Telstra Consumer, Telstra Business, Telstra Enterprise, Product & Technology, and Telstra International, as part of a centralised strategy function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solving complex problems - Leverage knowledge, commercial acumen, and strategic expertise to drive a clear strategic direction for Telstra.
  • Creating data-driven strategies - Use data and analytics to understand commercial problems, extract meaningful insights, and develop data-driven strategies.
  • Developing and articulating clear strategic direction - Drive Telstra's long-term strategy and formulate new strategic frameworks as needed.
  • Analysing emerging trends - Design actionable business strategies by analysing new trends and their impact on Telstra's long-term needs.
  • Engaging and influencing stakeholders - Collaborate with and present to stakeholders, including peers and senior executives, to gain buy-in and remove barriers.
  • Translating and communicating key information - Prepare decision-making materials for the CEO, leadership team, and the Board (papers, workshops, and war games) to drive senior engagement and insights.
About You

Your leadership and strategic expertise enable you to work with complex stakeholder groups at various levels and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including the C-suite, the CEO, and the Board.

  • Management consulting and/or strategy experience
  • A strong business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Strong financial and P&L knowledge
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with senior leaders and executives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to build sustainable, scalable solutions
