The Opportunity

You will be joining our Tweed Care Home (Tweed Aged Care Home | Northern Rivers NSW & Gold Coast QLD). You will be trained to complete Strength & Conditioning physio classes, provide 1:1 companion support, be dining champions, support engagement and intergenerational programs, learn medicator shifts, and participate in education sessions called "community of practice" to learn how to care for each resident0needs across Dementia care, Infection and wound management, Falls management and Palliative care with colleagues who are passionate about being a care professional.

About You

We hire for heart. The best candidates are empathetic, have a strong work ethic and are passionate about making a difference to the elderly. Ideally you have healthcare experience and can think on your feet, communicate effectively, build rapport, and have a strong "purpose" to help the elderly. You have:

  • A passion for a career where you can make a difference and help deliver quality of care daily
  • Excellent safety awareness to prevent residents from tripping or injuries
  • Positive teamwork, reliable time management, and adherence to safety procedures
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) OR currently studying (we recognise other Cert III related healthcare studies)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (essential) or willingness to obtain

Our care roles are busy and involve bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting to perform duties safely. An online medical assessment is required for safety.
