NDIS Support Coordinator (Part/Full time or Casual)

Join our growing Support Coordination team. This role provides support coordination to our participants in the Moruya area. Ideally, this role is 30 hours over 4 days, but we're open to other arrangements. Please indicate your preferred employment type—Full-Time, Part-Time, or Casual—in your application. This role may provide a weekly hybrid Work from Home opportunity, after a period of time.

About us

Yumaro is a multi-award winning not for profit located on the south coast of NSW. Yumaro operates several social enterprises providing employment opportunities in a supported way. We provide NDIS services including home and community supports, capacity building supports, accommodation, social programs, support coordination and plan management services to over 220 people living with a disability.

About the role

This role is available as a result of fast growing service demand and aims to coordinate and connect participants to supports and build their capacity to stay engaged with their support networks - this varied and busy role:

Engages with participants and their informal support networks and builds connections with providers, local community services and NDIS contacts

Supports participants to understand their NDIS plan and plan funding

Supports participants in designing their support framework within available plan funds to their achieve goals and includes coordinating the participants' plan budget

Coordinates participants to connect and engage with providers, to access supports, and builds participant capacity to maintain these relationships

Gathers and prepares evidence for the participant for plan reviews

Develops/has a research-based approach for understanding the NDIS and sourcing available supports

Performs all underlying administrative tasks related to support coordination service provision including budgets

Skills and experience

Relationship building - working with a diverse range of people, their families or carers, and a network of support providers and community services

Able to coordinate service expectations and professional boundaries

Strong communication skills including listening

Able to research, interpret and apply NDIS and service concepts to design and implement effective solutions for participants within plan funding

Coordinate, organise and track activities/bookings/tasks

Able to self manage to achieve multiple and often competing deadlines

Strong administration skills including basic budgeting

Experience in NDIS, COS or similar role is desirable

Experience in using Microsoft Office suite of products

Experience in mental health would be well regarded
