About the Role
As the Senior Coordinator - Rostering you are responsible for the supervision, support and guidance of rostering and scheduling staff within the Community Aged Care Business Unit to provide efficient, customer centric services to clients receiving home support. This includes allocation of people resources to a broad range of funding models and revenue streams.
The operational areas of service delivery include North Brisbane and Moreton Bay Shire (Caboolture, Pine Rivers and Redcliffe), Brisbane City, South Brisbane (Redland Bay, Logan and Ipswich), Wide Bay (Bundaberg, Maryborough and Hervey Bay), Sunshine Coast, Gympie and the Gold Coast.
Key Role Accountabilities:
Provide overall day to day coordination of the rostering service delivery team and effectively manage the allocation of staff resources across the range of service delivery programs in Community Aged Care.
Implement, review and monitor systems, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure a consistently high standard and implement improvements/changes when necessary.
Oversee efficient communication, planning and modification of team schedules in accordance with sound rostering principles and relevant Enterprise Agreements.
Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained across the portfolio to achieve positive customer outcomes and provide feedback to the Manager on any critical demands.
Ensure systems are implemented and operating effectively (including all relevant IT systems) and promptly address issues to maximise staff efficiencies and customer outcomes.
Input into budget preparation activities and manage the financial resources of the rostering budget through the use available data, providing regular reports to the Manager.
Provide supervision and support to the Rostering team. This will include managing performance through regular meetings to create and lead a high performing team culture.
Work with Care Teams to manage workforce planning, peer support and retention issues focusing on continuous quality improvement.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or substantial experience in the effective management of a workforce management function within community service environment.
Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and optimising people resources across service delivery programs including knowledge and experience in working with staff rostering principles.
Demonstrated capacity to lead a team to support service delivery that delivers customer satisfaction and meets customer need.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistic requirements of consumers in diverse geographical locations.
Experience and knowledge in staffing and people resourcing activities, including but not limited to recruitment, supervision, building effective teams and mentoring staff.
Experience and ability to work within financial parameters, including taking responsibility for meeting budgets and reporting against these.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to clients, families and other relevant key stakeholders.
Highly effective organisational and time management skills, and the ability to develop strategy and processes to ensure best practice scheduling and service delivery.
Sound computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and client databases.
