Job Description

BESIX Watpac are looking for a Senior Contracts Administrator to join our NSW Construction team working on New Shellharbour Hospital Project.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Liaise with the Contracts Manager and Project Director to ensure internal cost controls are being maintained.
  2. Arrange and run the trade package tendering process including compilation and approval of tender documents and proposed tender list, issue of documents, receipt of tenders, comparison of tenders and submission of tender recommendations for approval.
  3. Establish an effective site or office-based system for the effective administration of projects in line with company procedures and guidelines.
  4. Prepare contract documents for each trade package/subcontract.
  5. Administration of the projects financials through the companies cost management system.
  6. Participate in the submission of monthly consolidated reporting in the areas of cash flow forecasting, variation status, contractual matters and cost analysis.
  7. Arrange and run the administration of variation claims, progress claims and other financial matters under the Head Contract and trade package/subcontract agreements.
Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the building construction industry.
  3. Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business, working effectively as part of a team.
  4. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to cope with shifting work priorities to deliver results.
