Atwell College is a modern and progressive government secondary school in the suburb of Atwell, south of the Perth metropolitan area. The college now accommodates approximately 950 students including over 300 Students with Additional Needs (SwAN), inclusive of all learning environments and programs offered at the college. The Role

Atwell College is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Inclusion Coordinator for our cohort of students with additional needs, to work closely with the Executive Team, Associate Principal, staff, students, and whole school community. Their primary role will be to provide curriculum leadership, student services support, and strategic coordination across inclusive education practices, ensuring differentiated learning, targeted interventions, and strong advocacy for equitable student outcomes.

As the successful applicant you should be a skilled leader with a strong focus on ensuring a safe and appropriate learning environment and ideally be experienced in supporting Teachers and Education Assistants to deliver evidence-informed, best practice programs to enhance student outcomes.

The successful applicant will ideally have an exemplary understanding and application of Courses of Study and Endorsed programs for Students with Additional Needs and post school pathways. Possessing well developed leadership skills and a proven history of mentoring Teachers in, pedagogy, High impact teaching strategies and Positive Behaviour Support will be highly desirable.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • c onsent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage physical and financial resources.
