Overview

SA Mushrooms is a proudly family-owned and operated mushroom farm established in 1998 with over 130 employees. We are a primary supplier of mushrooms to major supermarkets and green grocers and wholesale agents Australia wide, and pride ourselves in the strong familial and cultural values of hard work, honesty, innovation, and pride that drives our production to be the freshest and highest quality mushrooms. SA Mushrooms is located only 5 minutes from the Northern Express Connector with onsite parking.

You will collaborate with our team and develop relationships across the organisation with respect to all HR activities, and to foster and embed practices to contribute to a great workplace culture.

Qualifications & experience
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current HR and IR legislative requirements and ability to interpret Awards and relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment, including developing strategies for engaging talent.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicant must have excellent communication skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRMS systems and comfortable learning new technical systems
  • Certificate 4 in Human Resource Management with a minimum of 3 years' experience
Tasks & responsibilities
  • Talent acquisition, managing the end-to-end recruitment process using tools such as Scout and Employment Hero
  • Onboarding of new employees and ensure appropriate policies and procedures are met, including VEVO checks.
  • Liaise with Migration Agents and government departments if the company requires sponsoring staff.
  • Dealing with Work Cover and return to work claims
  • Providing support to managers in relation to performance management and disciplinary action.
  • Assisting payroll officer when required
  • Assist when required with administration tasks including phone calls, messages, greeting and signing in of visitors.
Hours

This position is Permanent Part Time of 20 hours per week, to be worked across Tuesday to Friday. Start and finish times are flexible and would suit school hours.
