Overview

Investigation Officer role at the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria. Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity with the Victorian Public Service until 24 June 2027.

Responsibilities
  • Utilise your Risk Management expertise to provide support and advice to the Integrity and Reviews branch.
  • Assist and support the management and delivery of the department's fraud and corruption investigation and integrity regime.
  • Apply sound knowledge and judgment and well-developed analytical skills to assess and review complex information, evidence and data trends.
  • Provide administrative support to the Public Interest Disclosures Coordinator in assessing Public Interest Disclosure complaints within the department.
About The Business Unit
  • Integrity and Investigations leads key areas including Integrity Culture, Intelligence and Detection, Integrity and Corruption Investigations, and Integrity Engagement and Communications with external bodies such as IBAC and the Victorian Ombudsman.
About The Role

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Integrity and Corruption Investigations, this position is responsible for conducting integrity and corruption investigations.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience in investigations in integrity, law enforcement or disciplinary environments.
  • Knowledge of investigation frameworks, policies and procedures.
  • Functional and practical knowledge of best investigation practice.
  • Experience in investigations and a Certificate IV (Government Investigations) or equivalent training is essential.
