Located on Kent Street in the heart of Rockingham, the Rockingham Arts Centre is a vibrant community hub featuring; a boutique gallery space, a multi-use room for art workshops and pop up artisan shops, plus studio space available for short-term hire and artist-in-residence opportunities.
We are seeking two enthusiastic and collaborative Administration Officers to support the day-to-day operations of the Centre and assist the Cultural Development and Arts team. This is a shared role with a fortnightly roster:
Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday
Week 2: Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Each shift is 8 hours
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to visitors and artists
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and delivering exhibitions, workshops, programs, and events
- Manage bookings and facilitate artwork sales
- Support the promotion of cultural development and the arts in the local community
- Experience in a customer-focused role
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with community groups and stakeholders in the arts
- A genuine passion for the arts and community engagement

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria in your online application:
- Diploma in Administration, Business, Visual Arts, or other significant and relevant demonstrated experience
- Excellent customer service and community liaison skills
- Excellent administrative skills, including office management, bookings and general administration support
- Experience in developing professional relationships with members of the community, other staff, community organisations / groups, and stakeholders that have a cultural development and arts focus
We are offering a gross salary of $83,781 per annum (pro-rata) and:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to 5%
- A variety of health and wellbeing programs including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $200 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
