Overview

Australia and New Zealand Solutions Architecture Leader, AWS Public Sector. Lead a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services within the ANZ market. Bring business savvy and technical background to help establish AWS as a key technology platform provider. AWS is seeking an experienced and motivated technical manager to lead, coach, grow, and partner with customer-facing Solution Architects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the ANZ Solutions Architecture team.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop new Solution Architects from internal and external sources.
  • Build and coach the team on skills to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions and to transfer deep technical skills to customers considering or using AWS.
  • Educate public sector customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure cloud-ready solutions.
  • Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer-facing guidance and best practices.
  • Act as a conduit between customers, service engineering teams, and support.
  • Travel as required.
  • Position is based in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, or Sydney.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer-facing resources or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
