About Our Client
As a payroll officer you'll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services while supporting broader organisational development goals. You'll work closely with HR and finance teams, ensuring seamless payroll operations and contributing to system enhancements and reporting.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing for all staff.
- Ensure compliance with EBAs, Awards, and relevant legislation.
- Reconcile PAYG, superannuation, and other deductions.
- Maintain and validate payroll data within HRIS (Chris21).
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support system upgrades and enhancements.
- Provide training and support for employee self-service platforms.
- Collaborate on organisational development projects and initiatives
The Successful Applicant
You'll bring:
- 2 years Payroll experience, at least 6 months with Chris21.
- Proven experience in high-volume payroll environments.
- Advanced skills in HRIS (Chris21 preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
