Payroll Officer

Located in Collingwood, we are seeking a payroll officer with 1-2 years of experience. This role is suitable for someone early in their payroll career, with a foundational understanding of payroll, looking to gain more experience through a contract position to develop their skills. We require the candidate to start immediately and commit to a 2+ month period, with the possibility of extension.
About the role:
- Supporting the payroll manager and other payroll officers with payroll processing and support.
- Reconciling employee pay and accrued leave entitlements.
- Managing documentation for new hires and departures.
- Providing timely and accurate responses to payroll inquiries from employees.
- Undertaking administrative duties such as file maintenance, creating new employee records, distributing starter kits, and managing police check processes.
The Successful Candidate:
- 1-2 years of payroll experience with any system; does not need to be end-to-end experience.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with great customer service abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well within a team.
- Willingness to commit to a 2-month contract.
Details:
- Location: Collingwood, close to northern train lines.
- Work arrangement: 5 days in the office.
- Hourly rate: depending on experience.
