Job Description

Ready to strike the right chord with someone who loves a yarn and country tunes?

We're seeking a volunteer to spend an hour each week with a friendly gentleman who enjoys sharing stories and great conversation. A former building tradesman with a passion for country and western music, he loves talking sport and keeping up with politics. He's looking for a mate to talk with, laugh with, and brighten his week.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care VolunteerVisitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established topromote links between elderly people and volunteers in their localcommunity.

Requirements

18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
•

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30 minute visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
