Job Description

Lend an hour and sow the seeds of connection

We're looking for a volunteer to visit a lovely woman originally from Egypt, who lives alone and would truly value some friendly company each week.

She enjoys reading, sewing, gardening, and going for walks. Simple joys she'd love to share with a kind companion.

Sharing stories and smiles could bring warmth and connection to her week in a truly meaningful way.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care VolunteerVisitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established topromote links between elderly people and volunteers in their localcommunity.

Requirements

18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30 minute visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
