National Discipline Lead - Transport Planning

Role Overview

As an Arcadian, you contribute to delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets, working with a global team of 36,000 professionals across over 70 countries. Your role involves providing technical direction, mentorship, and leadership within our national Transport Planning team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the national Transport Planning team.
  • Provide technical guidance on Transport Planning projects and workstreams.
  • Serve as Project Director or Project Manager on large assignments.
  • Offer technical advice to clients on transport challenges.
  • Support business development and account management for government transport clients.
  • Oversee bid development for Transport Planning projects.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the Advisory, Planning, and Technology Business Unit.
  • Participate in relevant global forums.
Qualifications & Experience

We seek a highly experienced Transport Planner passionate about improving transportation networks, with expertise in:

  • Policy and guidance development
  • Transport strategy formulation
  • Multi-modal and place-based transport planning
  • Movement and Place frameworks
  • Options analysis and business case development

Essential qualifications include a tertiary degree in a relevant discipline, membership in industry bodies (e.g., AITPM), and a proven track record in consulting, client delivery, and industry networking. Strong communication skills and experience leading multidisciplinary teams are also required.
