Job Overview

The Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care for a temporary part-time position at Colliver Rd Kindergarten in South Shepparton. This role involves supporting children's development, fostering a safe and inclusive environment, and working as part of a professional team.

Position Details
  • Hourly Rate: $30.58 to $32.05 (dependent on experience)
  • Part Time: 12 hours 40 minutes per week, Monday and Tuesday, during school terms
  • Temporary position until 20 January 2026
Key Responsibilities
  • Support children's development of identity, wellbeing, confidence, and communication skills
  • Encourage participation in supervised risky play, messy play, and relationship building
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)
  • Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid
  • Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
  • Criminal History Check (valid within six months)
  • Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Understanding of protecting children and mandatory reporting obligations
