As an educator with TAFE Queensland, you will concentrate on achieving impactful delivery outcomes and enhancing student experiences in technical trades training, in Engineering and Automotive. Your technical expertise will guide the development of innovative delivery solutions tailored to our clients' needs. You will also stay attuned to evolving training market demands, client expectations, and industry trends. Through your work, you'll play a crucial role in helping students from diverse backgrounds advance their careers upon completing their training with TAFE Queensland.

To become a TAFE Queensland teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
  • TAE40122 or TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
  • TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
  • TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
  • TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
  • TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
  • Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.

Additional Mandatory Requirements

Possession of relevant formal vocational qualifications (Certificate III minimum, Australian equivalent);
  • MEM40119 – Certificate IV in Engineering; and/or
  • MEM50119 – Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade

and
  • ability to demonstrate a broad range of current industry skills and experience.
  • If you do not possess any of the above training and assessment credentials, we encourage you to express your interest as we can offer a pathway to attaining a qualification on the job.

Salary

Casual

$108.10 gross per hour (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)

Teacher

$88,547.03 - $100,232.42 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)
