About the Role

The HSSE Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in:

  • Designing and implementing data governance protocols to ensure integrity, protection, and compliance.
  • Applying AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics to identify risks, trends, and performance opportunities.
  • Driving system integration across HSSE platforms such as EHS Toolbox, IVMS, ISN, SuccessFactors, and SharePoint.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to develop tailored data solutions that improve decision-making and operational outcomes.
  • Supporting end-users with training, insights, and enhanced digital capability.
About You

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Proven experience in data analytics, AI, and machine learning.
  • Strong technical skills in Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • A background in HSSE frameworks, compliance, or operational risk management (highly desirable).
  • The ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with the agility to adapt in a dynamic environment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in data analytics within a safety, compliance, or regulated environment
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Certificate IV or higher in Work Health & Safety.
  • Experience applying AI/ML to operational risk or compliance.
  • Senior professional who can bring both technical depth and business acumen.
  • Adelaide, SA (local candidates strongly preferred)
  • 12-Month Contract (potential for extension)
  • Full-Time | Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)
  • No FIFO or Relocation offered
  • Individuals with full Australian working rights/ Australian passport
  • NOT OPEN TO OVERSEAS APPLICANTS
