Based in one of Australia's most iconic and historic venues, Brisbane City Hall, we are seeking an Operation's Manager to oversee all facets of the day-to-day operations across our large and intricate venue. No two days are the same at Brisbane City Hall so you will need to be a highly organised individual that is familiar with engaging with numerous stakeholders and event partners. With up to 11 function and event spaces being available for both public and private use, you will need to have your finger firmly on the pulse to ensure that business runs efficiently, and service excellence is achieved on a daily basis.

Brisbane City Hall has been at the heart of events that have shaped the city's future and celebrated monumental milestones. The grand interiors echo with countless celebrations, gala occasions, festivals, and commemorations.

This high-profile role is suited to a self-motivated, high performing and creative operator who is passionate about F&B concepts, innovation and service. It takes the right ingredients to ensure all our guest's expectations are exceeded across such a diverse, high-volume venue. Whether it's a large wedding, a gala dinner, a council engagement, an exhibition or a corporate event, the underpinning philosophy is that we leave lasting impressions with every one of our guests.

A bit about you...

• Senior operational leadership experience, preferably specialising in premium high-volume catering environments
• Experience managing large food and beverage teams
• Willingness to be hands on in event delivery as required
• Knowledge and understanding of both front of house and back of house operations
• Experience with major event planning and venue logistics
• Strong planning and organisation skills with immaculate attention to detail
• Desire to stay abreast of on point and future trends
• Demonstrated calm, rational, and professional manner
• Ability to create a culture of respect and grow a cohesive team
• Inspire teams and drive creativity to keep the business at the forefront of the industry
• Developed financial acumen
• Management qualifications will be well regarded
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours to support teams in event delivery
