Operation Crew Member (Construction) — Multiple Positions Available. Work-life Balance Roster - 38-hour work week + a Rostered Day Off every fortnight. Attractive and competitive salary: $62,018.32 - $72,075.38 + 12% Superannuation per year. Applications Closing: 16 September 2025.

Play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure for your community as an Operations Crew Member with our dedicated construction team.

What you'll do

As an Operations Crew Member you'll report to the Team Leader Construction and be responsible for supporting the construction and maintenance of Council's road and transport infrastructure. The role involves undertaking manual labouring tasks, operating small tools and machinery, and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and compliant outcomes for the community. You'll take pride in contributing to projects that have a lasting impact, working outdoors in a dynamic environment where every day brings something different. Your work will directly support the safety, accessibility, and liveability of our region.

What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage); experience operating small handheld tools, equipment and field machinery
  • Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications and devices, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering operational and maintenance services
  • Hold and maintain C Class Driver's Licence, Traffic Control Combo (Stop/Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans) and WHS Induction Card with a willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment; Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw course
Other Requirements
  • Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
  • Be willing to participate in on-call roster and overtime (where applicable)
