What you\'ll doAs a Team Leader Roads Maintenance, you\'ll report to the Coordinator Infrastructure Maintenance – People & Resources and lead the delivery of road and stormwater maintenance programs, coordinating a team and contractors to ensure high-quality, safe, and compliant work. You'll manage daily operations, including plant use and traffic control, resolve issues on-site, and promote a strong safety and team culture. This role also involves mentoring staff, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting the efficient delivery of infrastructure services across the community.

- Qualification in Civil Maintenance with a minimum of five years' operational experience and at least two years' experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within the relevant field of civil construction or maintenance, roads and drainage or other maintenance activities.
- Proven experience in operating medium to large scale plant, tools and equipment, and manual labouring in relation to roads and drainage maintenance.
- Proven ability in planning, communicating and coordinating resources for scheduled works and projects that require problem-solving skill set and flexible nature to change work direction for an operational advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, exercise initiative and meet deadlines, provide practical support, and assistance to Engineers, with a specific focus on solution driven outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices effectively, embracing digital solutions for maintenance works activities to enable field productivity, engineering-design, planning and scheduling based systems to facilitate day- to-day operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
- Demonstrated ability in leading teams, providing effective communication, driving and managing performance and fostering a positive working culture.
- Hold an MR Drivers Licence, Ticket or Competency qualification to operate Excavator, Grader or Backhoe, Forklift Licence, Traffic Control Combo (Stop Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans), Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw course, current First Aid certificate and WHS Induction Card
- Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
- Be willing to obtain within 12 months of employment; Asbestos Awareness Training, Identify Locate and Protect Underground Services, Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker and Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans (PWZ , Traffic Control Level 3).
- Be willing to participate in on-call roster and overtime (where applicable)
