Your Opportunity

We are looking for individuals who have a strong sense of self, are resilient and who are truly able to understand trauma and the behaviours of vulnerable young people in the Out of Home Care sector. You will provide therapeutic support and care and have the potential to make a difference to a young person's life.

  • Casual rates begin at $43 p/hr (unqualified) or $48 p/hr (qualified) + salary packaging

Roster operates 24/7, offering a variety of day shifts (7am to 11pm) and overnight shifts (11pm to 7am).

Important Dates
  • Applications closing 11pm, Monday 15 September 2025
  • Group Assessment on Friday 19 September 2025 (Noble Park location)
  • 2 day, face-to-face Orientation on 24 & 25 September 2025 (mandatory)
Your Role

Using best practice therapeutic interventions and guidelines, the main role of a Residential Care Worker is to create a safe and nurturing home environment, provide consistent care for the young people, be a positive role model, support educational, social and recreational pursuits, foster independence, manage household duties, and provide nutritious meals.

Your Skills And Experience

You will have sound knowledge and experience of the Out of Home Sector, and an understanding of the effects of trauma and how to care for young people who have experienced trauma. You will be a strong communicator, creative thinker, problem-solver, and able to adapt to varying situations with confidence and professionalism.

  • Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification
  • Completing or willing to complete the mandatory Residential Care Top Up Units
  • Green P's or Full license is mandatory for transporting young people
