What the role looks like

In this role, you will be reporting to the Manager, Investment Operations, you will be a key contributor in the following areas:

• Overseeing CareSuper's Valuation Framework to ensure assets are accurately valued and meet SPS 530 compliance
• Managing the end-to-end valuation timetable for infrastructure, private equity and property investments, including independent reviews
• Reviewing and assessing unlisted asset valuations, including financial models and key assumptions
• Investigating valuation risks and ensuring all outcomes are appropriately documented and justified
• Reviewing valuation metrics and assumptions to ensure consistency across the investment portfolio
• Engaging with internal stakeholders, fund managers and external valuers to coordinate valuation processes
• Researching market data and trends to enhance valuation methodology for unlisted assets
• Supporting and mentoring team members in valuation, modelling and analysis skills
• Preparing and delivering reports on valuation outcomes to senior leaders and Board committees
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of APRA regulatory valuation reporting

Who we're looking for:

We're seeking a valuation professional who brings both expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills. Ideally, you'll bring:

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
• Postgraduate or technical qualifications such as CFA, CA, CPV or CPA
• Experience in valuing unlisted investments (infrastructure, private equity, property) within professional services or an in-house role
• Experience working in superannuation or broader financial services (preferred)
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with exposure to valuation or investment committees and external auditors
• Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and present complex ideas clearly
• Proven ability to prepare and review valuation reports and scoping documents
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and service providers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly developed organisational, prioritisation and collaboration capabilities
