Our client is a medium-sized logistics firm, who have a footprint in all major cities, ports, and docks across Asia Pacific. They have strong market presence in the Australian market and have a commitment to excellence in their transport as well as their high-quality customer service.

Job Description

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Lead and drive financial performance for the AUS division.
  • Review and provide oversight of all financial reports from the team.
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, both monthly and yearly.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and government requirements, including tax.
  • Participate in financial projects, when applicable.
  • Look for potential improvements in financial systems and processes.
  • Stakeholder management and liaison with external auditors.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should be able to demonstrate:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • CA or CPA qualification, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP system.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team of three.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
