The Opportunity

Fixed Term Contract - until August 2026

We're looking for a Software Solutions Designer to join our growing team and help shape the design and delivery of innovative, scalable software solutions for our enterprise Telco industry client. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across disciplines, and translating business needs into practical, user-focused technical designs.

You'll work closely with stakeholders, engineers, and delivery teams to design solutions that are robust, secure, and aligned with best practice enterprise architecture standards. Your work will directly influence how technology is used to drive value and efficiency.

What You'll Do

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Translate business requirements into clear, scalable, and maintainable software designs
  • Develop solution architecture diagrams, data flows, and integration patterns
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs and constraints
  • Facilitate design workshops and technical discussions to align on solution direction
  • Provide guidance and documentation to support development and delivery team

Technology Evaluation & Innovation

  • Assess new tools, frameworks, and platforms to support evolving client needs
  • Recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies

Quality & Governance

  • Support the development of design standards, templates, and best practices
  • Contribute to solution assurance activities, including peer reviews and risk assessments
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, design, and implementation

What You'll Bring

  • Experience designing software solutions in enterprise or consulting environments
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, integration patterns, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
  • Familiarity with Microservices Architecture (MSA), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), or Event-Driven Architecture
  • Proficiency in JAVA, Springboot, and API design, Message Brokers and Container Platforms
  • Knowledge of security best practices for APIs (e.g., OAuth, JWT)
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative mindset and a focus on delivering practical, value-driven outcomes
