The Opportunity

Fixed Term Contract - until August 2026

We're looking for a Software Solutions Designer to join our growing team and help shape the design and delivery of innovative, scalable software solutions for our enterprise Telco industry client. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across disciplines, and translating business needs into practical, user-focused technical designs.

You'll work closely with stakeholders, engineers, and delivery teams to design solutions that are robust, secure, and aligned with best practice enterprise architecture standards. Your work will directly influence how technology is used to drive value and efficiency.

What You'll Do

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Translate business requirements into clear, scalable, and maintainable software designs
  • Develop solution architecture diagrams, data flows, and integration patterns
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards

Stakeholder Collaboration

Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs and constraintsFacilitate design workshops and technical discussions to align on solution directionProvide guidance and documentation to support development and delivery team

Technology Evaluation & Innovation

Assess new tools, frameworks, and platforms to support evolving client needsRecommend improvements to existing systems and processesStay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies

Quality & Governance

Support the development of design standards, templates, and best practicesContribute to solution assurance activities, including peer reviews and risk assessmentsEnsure traceability between requirements, design, and implementation

What You'll Bring

Experience designing software solutions in enterprise or consulting environmentsStrong understanding of software architecture principles, integration patterns, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)Familiarity with Microservices Architecture (MSA), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), or Event-Driven ArchitectureProficiency in JAVA, Springboot, and API design, Message Brokers and Container PlatformsKnowledge of security best practices for APIs (e.g., OAuth, JWT)Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practicesAbility to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiencesA collaborative mindset and a focus on delivering practical, value-driven outcomes
